A lightweight alternative to traditional metal, skip bags are constructed from durable but lightweight plastic. They’re delivered flat-packed - so they can be stored until you are ready to use them.
Typically, a skip bag can contain up to one cubic yard – or one tonne - of household or garden waste.
- Can be kept for as long as you need them
- Are easier to place and store on your property, so there’s less chance that you’ll need a skip permit for them
- Can often be used where limited access makes conventional skip hire impossible
- Shouldn’t mark or damage block-paved driveways
Once you’ve filled the skip bag, contact the skip bag hire company that supplied it. They’ll collect the bag and dispose of the contents.
Like any skip, there are some things – basically any hazardous or harmful materials - that you’re not allowed to put in skip bags.
Your local authority or the skip bag hire company – such as Waste King – can give you guidance on this.
